Top Tips for Talking with Your Elderly Parents

Top Tips for Talking with Your Elderly Parents

Haans Mulder and Jessica Arends presented a seminar via Zoom on how to have tough conversations with parents or loved ones. Many times a parent will say, “it’s all taken care of” when asking about legal documents, health, and housing wishes. If more information was shared and crucial conversations were held, it could ease the process of helping a parent upon incapacity and death. Many times families find that they need to get a guardianship or conservatorship over their loved one. Probate can be needed without proper planning. Family disputes can arise when goals and wishes are not properly documented. All of these things are avoidable. Please contact Haans or Jessica if you have any questions on how your family can avoid this. The content of the presentation can be accessed at the link below.
